Perched atop the village of Glomset, the 6 acres of private grounds include small streams and rivers and Storfjord Hotel lies adjacent to thousands of acres of protected forest. Enjoy Norway's fresh mountain air while wild berry picking and wandering through the deer trails and mountain paths. This rural idyll was constructed using the historic lafta traditions of building traditional Norwegian log cabins. Furnished with antiques and classic Norwegian details, each guest room includes a balcony where guests can gaze out over the fjord and the surrounding mountains. These individually designed guest rooms include a luxury en suite bathroom and some have four poster beds. Guests can easily access both the airport and the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund, while exploring the Golden Route of the stunning west coast provides dramatic scenery and is popular with guests. This charming hotel has a private jetty in Glomset Bay and both row boats and kayaks are available. Three course dinners are served every evening in the timbered hall of Storfjord Hotel’s restaurant.
